Concert by Giannis Parios at the “Pallas” Theater in support of the Kastelorizo ​​Multipurpose Regional Clinic. The concert was canceled due to the war in Ukraine, however, with a donation from the event sponsor, the Clinic was supported with a significant amount of money to cover its needs.

The war in Ukraine canceled the big concert that Giannis Parios was going to give on March 1st at the “Pallas” Theater.

The “International Union of Friends of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain”, known by the distinctive title “Thyateira Union”, which had undertaken the organization of the concert, the proceeds of which were to be allocated to support the Multipurpose Regional Clinic of Megisti Kastelorizo, announced the cancellation of the concert “until further notice”.

“With our thoughts on the suffering Ukraine, which numbers over 100,000 Greeks, we all witness yet another defeat of humanity by the ravages of war.

“The Thyateira Association – International Association of Friends of the Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain” is driven by love and solidarity for our fellow man, and as a sign of support for our brothers and sisters and with one of the countless anti-war mobilizations worldwide being organized that same afternoon at Syntagma, we regretfully postpone until further notice the humanitarian musical event we are organizing at the Pallas Theater with Yannis Parios,” the relevant announcement stated.

However, the financial support to the Medical Clinic of our beloved and heroic border island will be implemented, as the sponsor of the entire event, shipowner Nikos Tourvas, decided, honoring the national cause and this attitude of ethics and humanity of the Thyateira Association, to support the Medical Clinic with a serious sum of money to cover its needs.
